Regional capability

Saudi Arabia

Premium procurement, consultancy and export delivery for mature trees, palms and shrubs.

Market

KSA resort, giga-project, hospitality and public realm landscapes

Ornatec reviews destination, climate, import rules, project stage and receiving conditions before recommending stock.

Proof

Red Sea Global supply experience and Middle East resort procurement

Experience across resort, theme park, casino, golf, roof garden and luxury residential landscapes informs the regional review process.

Supply network

Australia, China, Thailand and wider supplier access

Source options are matched around size, quality, preparation pathway, freight method and programme risk.

Outcome

A procurement answer, not a catalogue answer

The goal is a realistic pathway for living material that can be sourced, prepared, certified, moved and established.

KSA schedule intelligence

Saudi plant supply has to survive the route and the site.

For KSA work, Ornatec treats the plant package as a whole system: climate fit, source region, preparation period, certification, freight, staging, site access, irrigation assumptions and establishment support.

01

Coastal and inland exposure

Species are considered against heat, salinity, wind, humidity, aridity, soil profile, irrigation quality and maintenance capacity.

02

Origin and preparation time

Large trees and palms need realistic preparation windows, rootball planning, acclimatisation and source eligibility checks.

03

Biosecurity and documentation

Import requirements, phytosanitary inspection, quarantine treatment, packing method and certification pathway shape the final recommendation.

04

Receiving-site readiness

Unloading, holding, moisture management, planting sequence and aftercare assumptions are checked before living material is moved.

Procurement pathway

From early schedule to practical supply route.

The earlier the KSA schedule is reviewed, the more room there is to test origin options, substitutions, preparation time, certification route and planting-window risk before the programme tightens.

Delivered in the Kingdom

The working papers behind Ornatec's Saudi capability are published in the Knowledge Archive: consulting records, method statements and tender papers from the Red Sea coast to Riyadh.

What a Saudi schedule usually needs

Most Saudi enquiries resolve into the same three questions: what will hold condition inland, what will hold condition on the coast, and how large a specimen the programme can still accommodate. The inland answer is the arid palette, gathered in trees for Saudi Arabia with its understorey in shrubs for Saudi Arabia, narrowed further by summer maxima in heat tolerant trees for KSA. Where a single specimen has to carry a plaza or an entrance, large trees for commercial projects is the list that carries confirmed supply sizes.

Red Sea and coastal work draws on a different palette again, assembled in the Middle East coastal palette and, at programme scale, in the giga project palette. If the destination is fixed but the palette is not, the destination matcher will narrow it against the site, and the species index lists every species Ornatec holds a reference for, A to Z, if you already have binomials on a schedule.
