Description

The Retama raetam, commonly known as Retem or White Broom, is a hardy, drought-tolerant shrub or small tree native to arid and semi-arid regions of North Africa, the Middle East, and parts of the Mediterranean. Known for its slender, leafless green branches and fragrant white to pale pink flowers that bloom in spring, it is a striking plant adapted to extreme desert conditions. Growing up to 2–4 meters, it plays a vital role in stabilizing sandy soils and preventing erosion.
