Olive is the most reliable Mediterranean and Gulf specimen tree available: slow growing, long lived, genuinely drought tolerant and unmistakable in silhouette. The range covers the named Olea europaea fruiting and ornamental selections, 'Kalamata', 'Manzanillo', 'Picual', 'Helena' and 'Tolleys Upright', alongside the African wild olive, Olea chrysophylla.
Fruiting olives drop heavily and stain paving badly, so where the tree is purely ornamental a non fruiting or lightly fruiting selection saves years of complaint.
