A deliberately short list. Only two species in the current range carry a documented heat tolerance bullet alongside the palm habit, Phoenix dactylifera and Phoenix canariensis, and both have decades of Gulf performance behind them in avenue, resort and public realm planting.
Many more palms will take Gulf heat in practice; they are simply not yet recorded against that specific tolerance in the catalogue, so they are not listed here rather than claimed.
