About this collection
Cycads
Cycads are the oldest plants in the catalogue and among the slowest, which is exactly why a mature specimen carries so much weight in a landmark planting. The range covers Cycas revoluta and Cycas thouarsii, Cycas circinalis, Dioon spinulosum and Dioon mejiae, Encephalartos ferox and Encephalartos whitelockii, and Zamia.
Many Encephalartos species are protected under CITES and cannot be moved internationally without documented permits, which is a supply constraint rather than a horticultural one and needs establishing before a specification is issued. Ask early. See architectural succulents for the wider sculptural range and our accreditations for the certification framework behind cross border movement.
