Australian plants produce more nectar than almost any other flora, and this selection is built around that. Callistemon supplies the bulk, with Melaleuca, Leptospermum, Grevillea, Banksia, Westringia and Alloxylon covering different flowering seasons so that food is available across the year rather than in a single flush.
Nectar planting only holds birds if it is continuous and dense enough to give cover, so a scattered specimen planting will attract them without keeping them. Plant it as a block.
