The Barringtonia acutangula, or Freshwater Mangrove, is a semi-deciduous tree native to tropical Asia, Australia, and the Pacific, known for its striking pendulous flower clusters and adaptability to wet environments. Growing up to 10–15 meters, it features glossy green leaves that turn red before falling and produces long, hanging racemes of pink, powder-puff-like flowers that bloom seasonally, attracting birds and pollinators.
