Cassia and the closely related Senna give some of the heaviest yellow and pink flowering available in warm climate landscape work. Cassia nodosa is the pink shower tree, Cassia siamea the durable evergreen shade species, and Cassia surattensis and Cassia glauca the smaller, faster flowering forms suited to streets and car parks.
Naming in this group is unusually unreliable, with the same tree sold as Cassia and as Senna and several trade spellings in circulation, so confirm the species against a photograph before quantities are fixed.
