Not every plant travels in a root ball. For the right species, bare-rooting, meaning the complete washing of soil from the root system, is the cleanest and most efficient way to move volume across a border. This record rebuilds the sequence as practised at our Zhuhai operation, photograph by photograph.
The method, distilled
- Washed clean: all field soil is removed, eliminating soil-borne quarantine risk at the border.
- Held cool: washed stock goes straight into cool storage, slowing metabolism for the journey.
- Packed with intent: plants are layered and cartoned to protect roots and stems, and every carton is labelled for traceability.
- The chain never breaks: cartons are palletised, shrink-wrapped, foil-wrapped and held in the cool room until the vessel or aircraft is ready.
Why this record matters
Bare-root export is quiet, unglamorous logistics, and it is exactly the kind of method that separates suppliers who ship plants from suppliers who land them alive. It remains part of the toolkit behind our delivery and export capability.
