Ziziphus spina christi - Christ's Thorn Jujube

The Ziziphus spina-christi, or Christ's Thorn Jujube, is a hardy, deciduous tree or large shrub valued for its resilience and multipurpose utility. Native to arid and semi-arid regions of the Middle East and North Africa, it features a spreading canopy of glossy, oval leaves and small, fragrant yellow flowers. It can grow up to 6 to 10 metres tall and produces small, edible, brownish-yellow fruits that are sweet and rich in nutrients.
