Pinus brutia

Turkish Pine

Pinus brutia - Turkish Pine

The Pinus brutia, or Turkish Pine, is a hardy, fast-growing evergreen conifer native to the eastern Mediterranean region. It is known for its tall, straight trunk, reddish-brown bark, and feathery, green needle-like foliage. This resilient tree grows up to 20 to 25 metres in height and is widely planted for reforestation, timber production, and as an ornamental tree in warm climates.

Turkish Pine thrives in arid and semi-arid conditions, tolerates poor soils, and is often planted in coastal areas due to its salt tolerance.
