Calodendron capense - Cape Chestnut

The Calodendron capense, or Cape Chestnut, is a stunning semi-evergreen to deciduous tree native to southern Africa. Known for its large, showy clusters of pale pink to lilac flowers with delicate dark markings, it blooms prolifically in late spring to summer, creating a spectacular floral display. The tree's spreading canopy of glossy, dark green leaves makes it an excellent shade provider, growing up to 10 to 20 metres tall.

Hardy and versatile, the Cape Chestnut is ideal for feature planting, shade, or as an ornamental tree in gardens, parks, and streetscapes.
