Agave angustifolia

Caribbean Agave

Agave angustifolia - Caribbean Agave

The Agave angustifolia, commonly known as the Caribbean Agave, is an open rosette succulent from Mexico and Central America, carrying narrow, stiff, sharply pointed grey-green leaves edged with small dark teeth. It suckers freely at the base and builds colonies of neat, radiating rosettes.

It is smaller and more upright than the large landscape agaves, which makes it usable in beds and planters where a full-sized agave would dominate. It is used in gravel gardens, median beds, podium planters and coastal resort planting.
