Giant Sword Fern

The Nephrolepis biserrata, or Giant Sword Fern, is the largest of the commonly grown sword ferns, throwing arching pinnate fronds to two metres from a clump that settles at 1 to 1.5 metres high and as much across.
It is used in mass beneath canopy and around water features in humid climates, and at scale in interior schemes where a large soft green mass is needed at floor level.
The Giant Sword Fern is the workhorse for filling shaded ground quickly with soft, permanent green.
