Magnolia champaca (Michelia champaca)

Magnolia champaca (long known as Michelia champaca; the Champak or Joy Perfume Tree) is supplied by Ornatec as advanced, project-grade stock. A tall, upright evergreen from South and South-East Asia, it is famed for intensely fragrant orange-to-golden flowers, a classic temple and avenue tree whose blooms are distilled for perfume. It prefers a warm, sheltered position on rich, well-drained soil.
