Juniperus excelsa - Greek juniper

The Juniperus excelsa, or Greek Juniper, is a hardy, evergreen conifer native to southeastern Europe and western Asia. This slow-growing tree can reach heights of 10 to 20 metres, with a pyramidal to irregular form and dense, needle-like foliage in shades of grey-green. Its small, berry-like cones are an attractive feature and provide food for birds and wildlife.

Renowned for its drought and heat tolerance, the Greek Juniper thrives in arid and rocky landscapes, making it an excellent choice for erosion control, windbreaks, or as a feature tree in dry gardens.
