Giant Dumb Cane

Among the largest of the dumb canes, Dieffenbachia amoena carries oblong leaves up to half a metre long, dark green with broad creamy-white feathering along the veins, on thick upright canes that reach 1.5 to 2 metres under interior conditions.
It is a low-light specialist, which is why it has been an interior landscaping standard for decades. The sap contains calcium oxalate crystals and is a genuine irritant, so placement away from casual handling matters.
The Giant Dumb Cane is a proven interior specimen where a large, bright-variegated leaf is wanted in low light.
