Giant Bromeliad

The Alcantarea odorata, commonly known as the Giant Bromeliad, is a striking architectural plant native to Brazil. It forms a large tank rosette of slender, strap-shaped leaves, pale green overlaid with a silver-grey bloom that deepens with age and sun exposure. Mature plants send up an erect branched spike 1.8 to 2.4 metres tall carrying yellow flowers that are genuinely fragrant, the trait that gives the species its name.
Hardy and low-maintenance, the Giant Bromeliad is ideal for rockeries, feature planting or large containers, adding bold texture and structure to any landscape.
The Giant Bromeliad is an iconic and resilient plant, perfect for creating bold, dramatic landscapes with minimal maintenance.
