Paurotis Palm

Acoelorrhaphe wrightii - Paurotis Palm

The Acoelorrhaphe wrightii, or Paurotis Palm, is a clumping, multi-stemmed evergreen palm known for its slender, green trunks and fan-shaped leaves. Growing up to 6 to 8 metres, it is highly valued for its ornamental appeal, tolerance of wet soils, and ability to thrive in subtropical and tropical climates. Its dense growth habit makes it an excellent choice for creating privacy screens, windbreaks, or as a feature plant in gardens and landscapes.

Native to the wetlands of Florida, the Caribbean, and Central America, the Paurotis Palm is a resilient and low-maintenance plant for coastal or water-adjacent areas.
